This class is ideal for students with minimal or no instrumental music experience. Students ages 10 and up are welcome. Younger students will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Marching Band

Thursdays

7:30 - 9:00 pm

Fridays

4:30 - 8:30 pm

The marching band is a distinctive group of musicians that add movement and choreography to music to create an entertaining field show to be performed at football game half times and competition marching festivals.  The marching band also marches in several local parades, which always generates excitement.

Being a part of the Marching Eagles gives each student a unique opportunity to grow their musical skills and increase their athletic abilities while learning to work as an individual to make the whole group stronger. Leadership skills learned through marching band help them to be a better team player on and off of the marching field. Students are given occasions to serve in the community to reinforce this concept.

Marching band students work extremely hard, sweat a lot, but build lasting memories that are not made anywhere else.  Marching band instills dedication and dependability. Placement in the Marching Eagles is recommended for ages 12 and up, and is dependent upon audition and at the discretion of the directors. Requirements for audition will be sent upon registration. Encouragement is always the means to help a student master music and marching fundamentals at North Metro. Most of all, being a Marching Eagle is a lot of fun!
